ABOUT UPCYCLING FOR CHARITY
Upcycling for Charity (UFC) is a student-run club, based out of York University. We love to find environmentally friendly ways to make things that otherwise would have to be purchased. With this website, we try to give children a way to avoid boredom, bond with adults or recover from times of illness. And oh yes, we also try to nourish their creativity!
Goals:
We ultimately aim to meet the specific needs of others using sustainable methods only. The club uses a simple three-pronged approach to meet this objective:

Identify a specific need faced by others

Identify a source of discarded material

Engage creativity to meet the need in step 1 with the material from step 2
The sum of the above three steps is what the club promotes as the process of upcycling.
