Fish Toy

A colourful and fun fish toy that is easy to make. This project upcycles toilet paper rolls.

Materials
  • 2 toilet paper rolls

  • scrap paper

  • glue or tape

  • scissors

  • paint

Instructions

1. Cut slits into one of the toilet paper rolls about a third of the way up from the bottom.

2. Overlap the slits and tape (or glue) them together so that you get a rounded edge.

3. Cut slits into the other toilet paper roll just as you did for the first one.

4. Cut out a small triangle with a long tab on it as shown below; this will be for the tail.

5. Overlap the slits for this toilet roll like you did for the first toilet roll but insert the tail tab before taping (or gluing) the slits               together to make a rounded edge.

6. Cut three slits on the other end of the toilet roll; do this for both rolls. These will be the fins of the fish.

7. Insert one toilet roll into the other. This is a bit tricky so follow the video below.

8. Now your fish is complete. Paint it any colour you want.

Finished!
