Tic Tac Toe Game
A classic game that you can now make at home. This project upcycles cardboard and bottle caps.
Materials
-
cardboard
-
10 water bottle caps (other bottle caps may also work!)
-
permanent marker
-
ruler
-
scissors
-
sandwich bag for storage (other plastic bags may also work!)

Instructions
1. Using a permanent marker, take the 10 bottle caps and draw 5 X's and 5 O's. These caps will be your tic-tac-toe game chips.

2. Using a ruler and a pair of scissors, cut out a piece of cardboard into a square (20 cm height, 20 cm width).

3. Take the cut-out piece of cardboard and with a ruler and marker, create a 3x3 grid by drawing evenly-spaced vertical and horizontal lines. This will be your board.

4. Use a sandwich bag to properly store your tic-tac-toe chips and board until next use.

Note: If you want to make the game more difficult, follow the steps above, BUT instead have 16 chips (8 X's and 8 O's) instead of 10 and create a 4x4 grid instead of 3x3. In this way, the game will last longer and more strategies will be needed to win.
How to play tic-tac-toe:
1. Players choose a side; either X or O. Once they have chosen, they take all the chips for their side and those chips will be what they use for the game.
2. Players take turn placing their chips on the 3x3 board.
3. The first player to get 3 chips in-a-row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) wins the game.
